softball, finally!
so the heavens dried up long enough for us to get another game in on the ol'diamond. too bad God's grace wasn't with us on the field. a poor showing by the Abrams Team losing 14-2. Real Estate. Real Simple. played Really bad. it was fun, but we were frustrated from the beginning going 3 up, 3 down in both the 1st and 3rd innings while our opponents The Ugli Stix were scoring an average of 3-4 runs per at bat. i need to work on my fielding skills. still a bit nervous behind the plate at catcher. went 1 for 2 at bat. 1st up i popped to 2nd base and the 2nd time knocked it right over his head allowing for our 1st run to score. Ms. Emily attempted to push me around the bases but i was thrown out as i slid into 2nd. lil'dirt, lil'scrape, lil'blood, rock'n'roll! now as my beloved remate plays with fellow wedding party standies, i'm left to clean the entire apartment before jax shows up tomorrow morning.
